Product Description:
Baihao Yinzhen, also known as silver needle, a highly sought after white tea made in Yunnan province and only harvested for a couple of days each Spring, boasts young tender buds freshly plucked right before opening. Silver Needle is characterized by its unique needle like appearance covered with small white hair on the bud. Baihao Yinzhen White tea is also classed in the top ten when it comes to superior. A genuine Silver Needle is a white tea. As such, it is only lightly oxidized. The best productions are from the first flushes, which generally take place between late March to early April, when the year's first new buds "flush". For the production of Silver Needle, only the leaf shoots, i.e. the leaf buds before opening, are plucked.

White tea has the most subtle flavor of all the teas, it is milder, contains less caffeine and thought to have the most antioxidant out of all the teas. Its refreshing and does not have an overwhelming tastes or scent compared to other teas. The difference between green and white tea is the production process where white tea does not go thru pan-frying, but instead allowed to wither.
